SOUTH BEND, Ind. — No. 8 Syracuse (5-3, 1-2 Atlantic Coast) was riding a three-game winning streak — all of them fourth-quarter comebacks — going into Saturday’s contest. Down nine goals early to lower ranked, No. 12 Notre Dame (5-3, 1-1), Syracuse made a push like prior games. But instead of a comeback, a lack of defensive communication and a season-high 23 turnovers doomed the Orange from taking the lead in a 13-10 loss.

Here’s what our beat writers had to say after the game.
