For recent Syracuse University graduates, their degree just became a little more valuable.

 

A Businessweek PayScale report recently ranked SU 147 out of 554 for its college degree long-term worth. SU was ranked between Pennsylvania State University at 146 and the University of Delaware at 148.

 

An interactive table, ‘What’s your college degree worth?’ compiled information using PayScale’s online pay comparison and Bloomberg Businessweek’s 1.4 million reports on U.S. college graduates. The table included statistics on graduation rate, total cost of attendance, 30-year net return on investment, 30-year net return for graduates and annualized net return on investment.

 

A degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was ranked most valuable, with a net return of $1.7 million for a 30-year career. SU graduates can expect an overall $773,100 net return.

 

Schools ranked in the top 15 were all private institutions, and many were Ivy League. Harvard University, Princeton University, Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania were in the top ten.
