At 1:28 pm on Monday, October 17, the 35 Remembrance Scholars sat down in their respective chair displayed outside of Hendricks Chapel. The cohort sat in silence as part of the "Sitting in Solidarity" ceremony for 35 minutes, each minute representing a life of a Syracuse student lost in the 1988 terrorist attack of Pan Am 103. Remembrance Week 2022 began Sunday, October 16 with the candlelight vigil organized and put on by the Remembrance cohort. Scholars read the names of the 270 victims of the 1988 Pan Am 103 terrorism act and placed battery powered tea lights on the Remembrance Wall in honor of those who died. Read more »
